Getting there: Take a flight to Kuala Terengganu Airport. Then, board a 30-minute taxi ride to Merang Waterfront Jetty. Here, get on a speedboat and it would take you 40 minutes to reach Redang Island.

About: Apart from its crystal clear water and breathtaking views, the resort is known for its turtle conservation. Seeing as a lot of turtle hatchlings don’t make it to the sea, the Taaras team facilitates this process by releasing them into the sea. Couples and guests staying here can take part in this activity. In fact, one can take a closer look at the lives of these turtles through the resort’s turtle discovery snorkeling experience.

One other thing to try here is kayaking. The kayak here is transparent, therefore allowing you to see the beautiful ocean life beneath you as you are paddling.
